Conference “A Teacher Is a Personality” 2026

The seventh “A Teacher Is a Personality” conference will take place on 20 October at the National Library of Latvia.

When we embarked on the journey of “Ziedoņa klase” more than seven years ago, it felt only natural to begin the journey of “A Teacher Is a Personality” as well. To inspire and nurture, to engage in meaningful conversations, to learn together and remain curious, as well as to raise the prestige of the teaching profession – these, among others, have been our guiding goals throughout the years, and they remain just as important today. And most importantly – to celebrate our shared occasion together at our annual conference!

Every year, we develop the conference programme with great care. We research, learn, explore and read extensively to find the most relevant and inspiring speakers for that particular moment. It is important to us that this day gives teachers strength and energy not only until the end of the year, but throughout the entire school year.

This year, we will draw inspiration from and explore a variety of topics, with a particular focus on continuous development and growth.
