Concrete Dreams

'The Citizens LV' debut album 'Concrete Dreams' is an amusing and thoughtful musical journey throughout the basic perceptions of modern society and its structure, as well as personal goals. 

Musically, a mixture among indie, rock and electronic music can be traced, although the bands definition for its musical genre is synthrock. 

The sound of 'The Citizens LV' is characterized by an energetic and powerful rhythm section, where drums and bass combine the simple and difficult at once, thus creating a modern rock feel for the whole album. It is backed up with funk-like guitar riffs and converse guitar solos, that reminiscent rock from the eighties. Lastly, the unique sound of 'The Citizens LV' is brought by powerful synthesizer melodies and blues-like vocals of the lead singer. All in all this brings each of the songs a different feel – often melancholic, fun or dreamy.

Most of the lyrics are covering the different spectra of love and hatred, through it presenting the endless possibilities of fate and love colliding. From unconditional love to unmeasurable hatred and back again. Through this 'The Citizens LV' lead singer conveys a message about the inscrutable paths of life. All this emotional voyage is emphasized by the emotional and powerful vocals, which cover the thin thread between honest joy and irony.
